The Katsina State House of Assembly has continued its 2025 budget defense sessions, with key ministries and agencies presenting their financial plans for the upcoming fiscal year.

On the fourth day of the sessions, the following ministries and agencies presented their budget proposals:

- Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education: Proposed a budget of ₦56,140,790,900 to execute major projects.
- State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB): Outlined plans to spend ₦4,498,015,664.46.
- Mathematical Improvement Centre: Proposed a budget of ₦38,500,000 for key initiatives.
- Teachers' Service Board: Allocated ₦42,000,000 for its major projects.
- Agency for Mass Education: Presented a proposal amounting to ₦120,000,000.
- Anti-Corruption and Public Complaints Commission*: Defended a budget of ₦156,000,000 for its operations.
- Bureau of Public Procurement: Successfully defended its 2025 budget.
- Katsina State Institute of Technology and Management (KSITM): Proposed a budget exceeding ₦1.6 billion for its developmental projects.
- Science and Technical Education Board (STEB): Defended a proposed budget of approximately ₦500,000,000.
- Directorate of Information and Communication Technology (DICT): Submitted a budget of approximately ₦1.3 billion for advanced projects.

The budget defense session is being presided over by Hon. Lawal H. Yaro, Chairman of the House Committee on Budget and Appropriation.

The proposed 2025 budget for Katsina State stands at ₦682,244,449,513.87, with ₦157,967,755,024.36 allocated for recurrent expenditure and ₦524,274,694,489.51 for capital expenditure.¹
